1.1 Shift Start-Up & Direction Setting
- Are shift start meetings held consistently at the beginning of every shift?
- Are daily targets for safety, quality, delivery, and output clearly communicated?
- Are staffing gaps, absenteeism, and skill coverage reviewed before production starts?
- Are planned risks for the shift discussed before work begins?
- Are priorities for the shift understood by all team members?
1.2 Tier 1 Meeting Discipline
- Are Tier 1 meetings held at a fixed time and location?
- Do Tier 1 meetings focus on gaps versus target rather than general discussion?
- Are abnormalities from the prior shift reviewed during Tier 1?
- Are actions from previous meetings followed up to closure?
- Are unresolved issues escalated to the next tier in a timely way?
1.3 Visual Management
- Are production boards updated frequently enough to support same-shift action?
- Are safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people metrics visible at team level?
- How often do abnormal conditions stand out as visually obvious without requiring explanation?
- Are hour-by-hour or pitch-by-pitch results tracked where appropriate?
- Are missed targets accompanied by visible countermeasures?
